This supports all rescue dogs for vetting, foods and whatever they need.
We are all volunteers.
PALMER is from a shihtzu breeder who asked us to assist as she is going out of business. He is learning life in the world outside of a crate and are doing very well!. He is very playful, fun loving little boy doing well going outside and pottying. He is doing just great with the dogs too and learning about toys, dog beds, grass and that people pet them. It is so exciting adopting one of these dogs, participating and teaching them. Each day is a new different day. The dogs come from homes and we find they do best having other dogs at home to learn from and keep them company. This does not mean it is necessary but it will be often easier.
He will arrive in Rhode Island Friday, April 12 or 26 already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and we will have his meet and greets on Saturday April 13 or 27 depending of transport availability, in West Warwick,, RI. So get your application in now so you don't miss out. We have begun teaching bathroom skills using pee pads and outside as well.
OUR PROCEDURE: Once we choose you from your application and we speak on the phone and do references , we will ask for a $100, deposit to hold your pup for you to meet. It is refundable if you meet the pup and then are not interested. IF YOU DO NOT KEEP THE APPOINTMENT, IT IS NOT REFUNDABLE. All of this is sent to you in writing. We do this because he is very popular and lots of folks back out last minute before meeting the dog leaving us to start over and over again leaving the dog without an immediate home and again at a foster to adjust all over again. It just isn't fair for the dog or the rescue.
We will choose the dog's possible family as soon as we see a match. We will phone you and further discuss . The dog will be in Rhode Island for a meet and greet on APRIL 12 OR 26 depending on final vetting, Please realize, it is our goal to get the dogs into the right homes as soon as possible and no shows are not good for the dogs and other serious dog families.
If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue. The more you tell us the better picture we have of the home you can provide for our rescue
Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. If you have already applied in the past, then please send us a message with your name and what dog you are now interested in being considered for and we will pull off the server. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. If you don't see any information you need to know, we probably don't have an answer....like cats...idk...
