My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Coco and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit this application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you!

Coco is a tiny 6-lb., 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who is in search of her forever home. She is a timid little girl, but is very loving and affectionate when she feels comfortable in her new environment. We are looking for a new guardian for her who will take her out for walks and new adventures so she can be well socialized... not just a home where she will be home all day long. Being such a small dog, it should be easy taking Coco along on most outings.

Coco gets along with the other small dogs in her foster home, but she barks at the big dog. We feel that she will do well in either a single-dog home or with another small dog. Coco's a little 'Velcro dog' and wants to be right next to her person or in their lap... and she loves giving kisses!

Coco is housetrained and crate trained, but since she is such a small dog, she has to be let out often. A home with a fenced yard and someone at home during the day will be best for her. We feel it would not be advantageous for her to be in a crate while her family is at work during the day. In her foster home she sleeps in a crate, but we are sure that she would love to snuggle next to her new guardian in their 'big bed'.

Coco is a very healthy little girl and is current on her Dist/Parvo and Rabies vaccinations. We also had her spayed, microchipped, and tested for Heartworms. She is on Heartguard for Heartworm prevention.

Coco's adoption fee is $400.00

Coco is a loving, sweet, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Coco to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste).

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!

Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, the first step is to complete and submit an application. Please e-mail us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com to request the application, which can be e-mailed back or faxed to us. A FHCR volunteer will contact you, and then arrangements can be made to meet the pet through the foster home.

FHCR offers a 3-week trial period to ensure that both the family and the pet are both happy with the results of the adoption. Within that time, we will refund the full adoption fee if the pet is returned. We want to be sure that our pets will have their perfect "forever" homes!
