Max is a sweet, wonderful dog. My Mom is going into assisted living and can't take him. He is totally devoted to her, go's nuts when she is going to leave the house and is beside himself when she comes home. It is going to be hard on both of them.
We are hoping that he will be able to transfer that love and devotion to his next person.
Max was gotten from the St. Cloud Humane society in May 2019 at the start of the pandemic. He was given up because his family was moving. he is 8 years old.
He is a high energy dog, not very well leash trained, but smart and learns quickly. He knows to go straight to his run when Mom says pen! and to go to the car or house with those commands. He can't be left alone outside, because he wants to explore. When he's gone, he doesn't come back!
He is suspicious of cats but tolerant, ok with other dogs, and wants to be properly introduced to children.
Max will tell you: "Toys! Play! Toys! Play! Toys! Treats! Love you, want to be near you always!"
