My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthday: August 4, 2023

Sterling Jack is as strong as sterling silver and just as precious!  He was first spotted in a development in the Lancaster area.  He was a sneaky one, as it took a while to trap him for rescue!  After a few months, someone managed to snag the little rascal and sought out medical attention.  The poor guy's eyes were in rough shape, and no one knew if he would be able to see again.  Unfortunately, his left eye was too far gone to be saved, and it was removed.  His right eye was fortunately salvageable, but it wasn't in the best of shape.  Sterling Jack can see out of it, but he still suffers from partial blindness.

After his surgery, Sterling Jack was moved to a foster home to recover and learn how to socialize.  One can only imagine how scared and unsure this little guy must have been when he first arrived.  Thankfully, it didn't take him long to learn that he had no reason to fear!  His foster parents knew that you needed to take it slow with him because of his limited eyesight, and it was the key to earning his trust.  He still hopes that his future family will continue this habit since it can be incredibly jarring to see something you didn't know was there!  We think that he will do wonders in a home with no small children who might be more inclined to do this as well as dogs.

What about other cats?  Well, we are happy to report that Sterling Jack gets along with other kitty cats just fine!  It seems he understands how they operate, so he's able to ascertain their movements and behaviors a little easier!

What about his personality?  Well, we propose another question to you!  Have you ever had a sugar bun?  Because that's what this boy is!  This long haired poof of a man is absolutely one of the sweetest kitties you'd ever meet!  He'll sit with you on the couch and take the time to have a one-on-one snuggle session with you!  Though he has a handicap, that doesn't stop him from having a bit of fun!  Playtime is always a good time with this handsome devil!

Sterling Jack's adoption donation is $175 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
