My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pongo was rescued from a shelter in NC and is all set to find a new home! His amazing foster mom and dad and foster doggy brother have taught him all the ropes about how to be a good boy. He has been in professional training for a few weeks now and has made tremendous strides on his manners and behaving in social situations. He didn't have any problems to speak of before his training, but all teenage pups can benefit TREMENDOUSLY from training and learning how to behave.

This young fellow has been with his foster parents and foster doggy bro for a couple of months. They didn't want to let him go until they felt he was ready to make the best family addition ever.
He now checks ALL the boxes!! He has been with human children ages 3 to 11 and is perfect with them. He has been with nice human of all ages and loves every single person he meets.
We're only allowed to attach one video on his post, but we have many of his training videos for his future adopter to enjoy and his potential adopter to see how smart and good he is.

The only unknown is kitties, and we think kitties might be happiest if he was in a kitty free home. He's a very playful little boy and he might pester a kitty.

Pongo will be a great hiking/jogging partner and has practiced his leash skills and recall endlessly with his trainer. He attends doggy day care a couple of times a week and has never had any problems with his doggy friends. He enjoys his crate and after a long day at doggy day care, he'll crate about 8 p.m. and snooze through the night.

He loves his toys and is happy to entertain himself while his foster mom and dad take care of chores. He's also a champion snuggler and good car rider. So if you're ready to add a new family member, I can't think of an easier boy to transition to being yours!!

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
