My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Strudel!

The endearing 2-year-old Bulldog mix weighing 47lbs, with a heart as big as her love for cuddles! Strudel is ready to melt your heart and become your loyal and devoted companion.
Strudel is a sensitive soul with a heart of gold, who adores nothing more than snuggling up with you and receiving plenty of butt scratches. While she may take some time to get comfortable with new people, once she does, you'll have a friend for life. With her affectionate nature and loving disposition, Strudel is sure to bring warmth and love into your home.

Due to her initial sensitivity, if there are children in her forever home, Strudel would do best with kids aged 10 to 13 or older in her forever home. Her gentle nature and loving demeanor make her the perfect companion for older children, providing endless cuddles and companionship.
Strudel can take some time to warm up to other dogs, but once she does, she's ready to play and make new furry friends. With a proper introduction, she's sure to enjoy the company of other dogs and engage in fun-filled play sessions.

Strudel's future home will be one filled with love, understanding, and plenty of cuddle sessions as she continues to blossom and build confidence. With the right match, she's sure to become an integral part of the family and bring joy to all.

Ready to welcome the sweet and sensitive soul of Strudel into your life? Call 330-487-0333 ext 226 to schedule an appointment and provide her with the loving and caring home she deserves. Your forever friend is just a call away! #AdoptStrudel #SensitiveAndSweet

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter

Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
