Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Iris!
Iris is a 5 year old, domestic shorthair, orange & brown tabby who came to HART from a Kentucky shelter. She had been found as a pregnant stray by a kind person who had her kittens and when they were weaned and adopted, it was her time to be available for adoption. She was adopted in 2020 but recently returned to HART, due to her adaptors health.
She's quiet, calm, chills a lot, loves gazing outside a window, good with children, but hasn't been around other pets, so we're not sure about that.
Not aggressive what so ever about anything, likes being pet, being brushed out, loves Christmas, and syncs with all types of music, you dance, she dances too.
Her former family says, she's a people's person. she's not a cat, she's a human dressed as a woman, once she gets to know you.
She was recently started on Purina Proplan Weight Management Chicken Flavor (as she could use to lose a pound or two). Her former family says she looks like a loaf of bread! She is limited on her treats, her favorite are Temptation treats (blue bag salmon).
She doesn't claw up furniture, doesn't jump on counters, tables only sofas and beds, but will use a scratching tower.
Iris could be the perfect cat you've always been looking for.
All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.
