My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poncho is a stunning Husky/Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his fluffy coat! This handsome boy is looking for a special home where he can be the center of attention and soak up all the love. Poncho is a people lover through and through and craves human companionship. He adores attention and will quickly become your shadow, following you around with his wagging tail and big, expressive eyes.

While Poncho loves people, he can be a bit particular about his furry friends. He's dog-selective, which means he's best suited as the only dog in the home. This handsome guy prefers to be the star of the show and would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention.

Poncho is a ball of energy and loves to stay active. He enjoys long walks, runs, and playtime in the yard. He's especially fond of the beach and would make a great companion for someone who loves outdoor adventures. Poncho's zest for life is contagious, and he'll bring joy and excitement to every outing.

Due to his separation anxiety, Poncho needs a family that can provide him with the love and attention he craves. He can't be left alone for long periods and would benefit from a family that has the time and commitment to help him feel secure and loved.

If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will fill your life with love and laughter, Poncho is the perfect match for you! Come meet this sweet boy and see if you're a match made in heaven. Adopt Poncho today and start making unforgettable memories with your new best friend!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
