My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Holly is a friendly, easy-going puppy who seems to enjoy everyone she meets. She is great with other dogs and enjoys engaging in active play with them. At times Holly’s play style can get a bit rough and tumble, but she easily tones it down with a verbal correction.

Holly does seem to love ALL toys and wow; this girl loves to play! Squeaky toys really get her attention, and she doesn’t destroy them (not yet anyway). She’s very playful and loves chasing balls or anything you toss for her. She also loves a good chew bone like a Benebone or Nylabone especially when she’s in her crate.

Holly will definitely work for treats! We jokingly say she hasn’t met a treat she doesn’t like. Being treat motivated helps keep training sessions easy, fun, and enjoyable. Holly has mastered sit, down and is working on shake.

Holly is a lover of the great outdoors! She enjoys going for walks, and if your looking for a great walking or hiking partner, Holly's your girl! She gets sooooo excited when she sees the leash come out that sometimes she piddles a little bit (this should subside as she gets older).

Holly is working on perfecting her house manners. Like all puppies, it’s a work in progress. Her foster mom says, “she’s doing well.” She’s also learning that full-on play mode is not a great house behavior and sometimes has to be reminded to take her exuberant play with foster siblings down a notch.

Like all puppies, for Holly to be successful in a new home she will need lots of exercise and activities to help work off her puppy energy. She’d be a great candidate and would benefit greatly by attending doggy daycare!

If Holly sounds like a fit for your family, fill out our online adoption application.

More about this rescue

We are not selective about the breed of dog we help. We consider the lives of all breeds to be equal. The labor force behind our mission is 100% volunteer staffed. We save dogs from shelters as well as from owners who cannot care for their dogs any longer. The dogs we take in are placed in loving foster homes until they find their forever home. We do not have a brick and mortar facility; we are 100% foster based including loving fospice for terminally ill dogs. We work to support the local community by providing education on care and treatment of dogs. Promoting safe handling, the importance of vaccinations, heartworm prevention, advocating and providing financial assistance to those in need for spay and neutering. We arrange for community outreach by building kennels and outdoor shelters to get dogs off chains.
