Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rilo is progressing along nicely! However, he does have a fear of *some* men and can still be skittish around new people which is understandable. Rilo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Unsure of breed but assuming a cattle dog breed or Australian shepherd mix. He is a puppy at only 9 months old so chewing and puppy zoomies are to be expected. He is okay with cats. (scared of cats, but curious as to what the heck they are). He is dog friendly. He would probably do best in a home with another dog, but it depends on the environment. Due to his skittish nature, a home with older kids who understand boundaries would be okay. Rilo is perfect on a leash, but a loud noise may scare him. Once you continue to walk, he will forget about the noise. He knows some basic training -- is working on “sit” and his recall is almost there! He is crate trained and house trained. Within the first week of being at a new home, Rilo may be scared to come back inside after pottying. He was found as a stray in a pack of dogs so sometimes he doesn’t understand that he is allowed inside AND outside. However, after watching our resident dog come in and out, he does the same as well! He follows his foster mom around the house and when working, will sleep underneath the desk. Rilo’s future adopter will need to be someone who is patient, kind, and dog savvy. We do not know of his history or what kind of trauma he may have experienced, but this little dude deserves the world and is eager to learn, play, and just be a puppy.
