Chloe's favorite things are playing with toys, going to the park, and sleeping. She's a high-energy 24-pounder who still has a lot of growing to do. She is a social butterfly who thrives on companionship and never wants to be by herself. She is friendly and respectful with other dogs but she likes to rough house. She behaves well at the dog park and wants to play with dogs she meets during walks after barking at them. Barking was the only thing she got into trouble for. She has experience with children of all ages and is friendly, playful, and jumpy. She likes sitting on a lap and being petted. She enjoys car rides, running, toys, walks, and water. She has learned the sit, stay, come, no, and down commands. If she runs away while off leash, she'll come back if you call her. She enjoys leading while on a leash. She is not yet house trained and spent her days either outside or in a room. She knows how to use puppy pads. She was given up because of landlord issues. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
