Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Notus, the charming man, is on a quest to find his lifelong adventure buddy! It's hard not to fall in love with Notus. He has such a sweet and affectionate demeanor to him. He loves to shower all of his human friends with kisses and cuddles. He is an expert on leash and knows where all the cool smells are. His favorite activities include, soaking in the sun, leisure walks, and being brushed to look his best. Notus has displayed somewhat of a prey drive so he probably wouldn't be the best fit for a home with cats or other small animals. This sweet boy cannot wait to meet you and hopes you come and visit him soon.
Notus is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150. Please email adoptions@hstt.org for more information.
*We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each dog based on personality and the behavior we’ve observed rather than a breed label.

Pet ownership is a serious responsibility. The policy of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is to ensure that each person who adopts a pet not only is aware of the responsibility, but that each person is willing and able to accept that responsibility morally, physically and financially. Not every person who desires to own a pet should own a pet.
The adoption application is designed to help us make the best placement possible — the right home for each animal and the right animal for your home. The adoption process takes time because we are committed to giving you all the information and support you need to have a successful adoption. We ask for your patience and cooperation in the joyful process of bringing people and animals together.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN ADOPTION, YOU MUST:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide a suitable confined area for the animal.
• Understand that the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe reserves the right to deny any adoption.
Our adoption fees are as follows: Dogs (over four months) = $110.00 Puppies (under four months) = $160.00 Cats (over four months) = $75.00 Kittens (under four months) = $100.00 Adoption fees will be due upon completion of adoption. Cash, check or credit cards are gladly accepted.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through adoption, community spay/neuter and humane education programs. Founded in 1994 by a group of committed volunteers, the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe has become the driving force in animal rescue and adoption for the Truckee region. Over time, we have grown from a small grass roots entity to a nationally recognized non-profit organization with seven employees and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
