Why I need a new home

Human health issues (e.g. allergies, sickness)

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I adopted him the weekend before the covid shut down which means that as a teacher I was basically home 24 hours a day for months. He became very attached to me. The minute I returned to work I realized that being left alone caused him extreme anxiety. He is on anxiety meds. He is such a lovable, sweet dog but gets into trouble for naughty things such as turning over the trash can. He is thrives by being held and cuddled but is very scared when meeting new people. Once they show him love he melts in their hands. He plays with other dogs without a problem and is not scared of even the biggest dogs. The one caution I have is that he is not good with babies. I don’t know if it’s their crying or scent but he freaks out. He will be 5 on March 30th and his weight fluctuates between 8-10 pounds. The perfect home for him would be retired parents or parent who can spend lots of time with him. He is house trained but needs daily walks.
