My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loki is a big, happy boy! He currently weighs 68lbs and is only 8 months old so he will grow and fill out some more. Right now, he is a lanky boy! Loki is very energetic and playful! He loves to wrestle with other dogs and loves to run while leaping into the air doing Kung fu moves. He also loves toys and throws them in the air for himself to chase! A dog sibling would be a plus so he can get some energy out but an active person/family or someone who takes him to the dog park often would be fine as well! He does great in the car so he would be a perfect pup for taking on trips, hiking or camping. Loki thinks everyone is his friend but he doesn't always understand boundaries. He gets a bit pushy with cats and he will jump on a dog to play, not understanding they aren't interested. However, he does back off if they growl, snap or (with cats) swat at him. He is not aggressive in any way and has even lived with children but should go to a home with kids over 10 because of his size. As much as he loves company, he isn't too needy. He will go and play by himself if no one engages with him. Loki needs some more training to be the best boy! He doesn't know many commands and he pulls on a leash when he gets excited. However, he is housebroken already! He has never been crated and whines a bit at first but we are working on it now. The plus is he can be left alone without being in a crate and he is fine! He just needs to have his toys to entertain him so he doesn't chew something he shouldn't. Loki is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Submit an adoption application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.org if you'd like to meet him!April 21, 2024, 4:08 pm

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
