Hi, this is Duke! He's an 11 year old grumpy boy who is in need of a new home. I adopted him from my good friend's sister, who had him from birth until he was 10. Unfortunately she ended being very allergic to cats, but decided to keep him anyways, which led to him being raised in isolation. This has caused Duke to be very unsocialized. He cannot live with any other cats or dogs, otherwise he'll develop feline lower urinary tract disease (crystals in his urine), and he can be a little feisty with humans, even his own!
I've learned that he tolerates top of the head scratches and back pets under certain circumstances, and can be held for short periods as well. If he's unhappy with the way you're touching him, he will bite! He generally enjoys being left alone, but is very food motivated and will seek out carbs! He loves cardboard scratching pads and kicker toys, and is happy to use either clay or crystal litter.
