My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruttie is a 3yr old neutered male Basset Hound/ Heeler mix. He weighs 48 lbs. Ruttie is a little slow warming up but once he does he is going to follow you everywhere. Wednesday and Ruttie were owner surrendered when their owner moved into a home not allowing them. They are littermates but are not bonded so they can go into separate homes. Ruttie is having fun here at the rescue. He loves treat time and is loving having space to explore. He listens well and will soon be your best friend. He would love a home that would take him on adventures. He would love to have someone who spends time with him. He has quite the personality and will keep you laughing all day long. He is house trained. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is heartworm negative. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-779-0862. He is being fostered in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. You may be refused the right of adoption if the consensus of the screeners is that adoption to your home would not be in the animal’s best interest. We reserve the right to check on any adopted animal in the future, and as a final measure, will reclaim the animal if improperly treated or housed, or if false statements were made on the adoption application.

We insist that you have your animal checked by a veterinarian within 3 days of adoption. We do what we can when they arrive into rescue but any and all dogs can harbor illnesses that will not show for up to 7-10 days after being exposed to it. This is not something any shelter, dog pound or rescue can control, you will find this in any enviroment you go to that does not know the past history of an animal.

We can not control the personalty of any animal, as we do not have past history on all the animals that come into our rescue organization. We do our best to temperment the animals and will do our best to fit the animal with a forever home that we feel is best for the animal. We will be available after the adoption if you feel you need help in anyway to correct any issues you may run into in the future with your new family member.

If at anytime in the animal’s lifetime the animal is no longer wanted or if you are unable to keep the animal for any reason you must contact Heritage Farms.

ADOPTION FEES

Please check each pet, as adoption fees vary due to the fact that we have to pay to pull these animals from shelters/pounds/puppymills to save their lives. The adoption fee is noted with every pet listed.

PLEASE HELP THESE FORGOTTEN OR UNWANTED BABIES!

Go meet their pets

All our babies are home foster unless they require a farm atmosphere, then they are taken to the farm, that has been generously donated to us to use. We will be starting to adoption events soon, so please watch our site for updates on dates and times.
