My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Georgia aka Gigi

Located in the Sidney NE area
Birthday 11/15/21
Tibetan Spaniel fusion is our best guess, momma is Mamie
Great with other dogs
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 OTHER DOGS TO CUDDLE WITH IN THE HOME NOT UP FOR DISCUSSION
Would likely be fine with cats
Kid friendly with children WITH DOG MANNERS, she is a puppy so please remember she will have typical puppy behavior
NOT completely house trained yet but very close
Crate trained for when her foster leaves the house but otherwise she sleeps through the night with her foster. She is very smart and easy to motivate
Up to date on vaccines and age appropriate vetting
7lbs approx

Please remember that this is a puppy. This means she will have typical puppy behavior. She will jump, nip, play bite, chew, have accidents etc. Remember she is a BABY!

Gigi is the last of her litter although I cannot for the life of me understand why. From the time she was a baby baby she was more interested in hanging with the adults than the puppies and spent most of her time napping on the couch or various dog beds with her new besties. We quickly fell in love with this 2lb girl who showed no concern cuddling up to a 70lb APBT or Saint Bernard for nap time. Not only did she just have zero concerns or fear, she has such soulful eyes and the most expressive ears. We thought all these adorable photos would get her adopted but the perfect home has alluded us so far.

About 2 weeks ago Gigi and her brother Davy were exposed to the dreaded Parvo. They had each had 3 rounds of vaccines prior but for whatever reason Gigi showed only very mild symptoms where as her brother Davy succumbed to the virus. We were absolutely heartbroken but also very thankful that at least Gigi had battled through it. She will have a negative parvo test and good vet check before she is released to be adopted. Now that she has 100% recovered we again decided to post her and look for her people who we are sure are out there somewhere!

Gigi is impossible not to love, she is calm for a puppy and snuggling is absolutely her favorite pastime. She’s playful but it’s more of a Netflix marathon kinda gal. She is also down for a  nature walk or hike, she isn’t lazy by any means, she’s just very advanced at her cuddling skills. She can be a touch protective of her food but I wouldn’t say she is food reactive and likely in a home with less dogs the small protective issue will subside.

Her mom is Mamie and we don’t know who Dad was. She will be a small to medium sized girl with graceful gazelle like long legs and a more narrow body frame. She is unique and extremely special and we know her family that will adore her forever is out there!

$300.00 Adoption Fee + $50.00 Refundable Spay/Neuter Deposit
(The $300.00 is considered a nonrefundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. The fee itself is not negotiable, our vets don't negotiate and thus neither do we).

HISTORY
Mamie and her 5 pups came to us from a rural Texas shelter outside Dallas. Mamie couldn't be handled and as such she and her pups needed a special place to land. This is where we came in. We pulled Mamie and her pups and they arrived in early December. They spent the holidays with us as they continued to blossom and come into their own little puppy personalities and momma Mamie settled in and let her guard down, a bit. These pups are absolutely fantastic little ones. They have the funnest personalities and are absolutely adorable!

WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY ALL OUR DOGS ARE LOCATED IN FOSTER HOMES. This means there is no place for you to go in person to view our dogs. We ask that an application be filled out and we will go from there!

We do ALLOW out of state adoptions, HOWEVER the adopter MUST pick the dog up in person and DRIVE or FLY (IN CABIN ONLY) the dog back at the adopters expense. We do NOT coordinate transport.

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption fee which ranges based on age of the dog or cat. We also require a completed (and obviously accepted) adoption application, and home and reference checks. We don't do this to be nosey, but because when we bring an animal into our program we make a promise to that animal that they will go to the best home for them. We are more concerned with the quality of our adoptions than the quality
