If you came here, don`t look any further! Bijou is a true jewel indeed. We don`t know much about this little girl`s past - she came in, terrified and emaciated, as a stray. But we know about her future, as we promised Bijou, it will be just as bright and beautiful as she is!
Bijou is very gentle and sweet. She might be shy when you first meet her - we can only imagine how her previous experiences with people were.
But she wants to trust, and she has so much love that she is ready to give.
Bijou became due to her very sweet demeanor soon a staff favorite (in fact, we would just visit the vet suite to see how she is doing!), and since she is available for adoption, also volunteers adore her.
As much as we love her and have her brighten our day, we want nothing more than this girl to finally arrive at home. Maybe it`s your home? Visit her today!

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
