🐾 Meet Zeus, the gentle giant with a heart of gold and a story of redemption that'll melt your heart! This sweet boy started his journey seeming completely dejected and with a boatload of fears. But oh, how far he's come!
🌟 Zeus started out barely walking and was severely overweight. He suffered from untreated hypothyroidism and terrified of... well... just about everything. But with the help of his amazing foster fam (including foster sibs Lexy and Cassius) he went from presenting as a potential hospice senior to now a dog who has hope and a long life ahead of him. He's now running, jumping, and smiling!
❤️ Zeus will need some time breaking out of his shell since he's still a shy boy. It's possible he was never shown what love is before this, so he's very much still learning what affection feels like. But once he warms up, he wants those pets! He uses a little nose-tapping technique that's hard to resist!
🏡 He's a keen observer who's slowly learning how to be a dog in the world around him! He's slowly discovering the joy of being cherished and cared for, and blossoming into the loving companion he was always meant to be.
🚶♂️ He's still working on those leash skills but getting better! But watch out for those slippers – this sneaky thief might just steal your heart along with them!
📋 Zeus will need to be on thyroid medication for the rest of his life – just one pill a day keeps this happy pup healthy and thriving.
Zeus is currently being fostered in Butte, Montana. He's a bonded pair with Lexy, so double the love and fun!
