Mr. Sparky Anderson was purchased as a puppy by an elderly person who realized they did not have the wherewithal to take care of a dog. We were asked to help Mr. Anderson find a permanent family who has the energy and time to give him a life of love and care.
Breed and Hair Notes:
Mr. Sparky Anderson has hair that grows and not fur. He is a stunning blend of Poodle and Shih Tzu. He has incredible curly brown hair! It had to be shaved down, though, due to his former person not taking him to the groomer. He’s been given a smart, short cut so that it can grow out again in all its glory.
PLEASE NOTE: His hair will grow indefinitely, and he will need professional grooming every 4-6 weeks. Only apply if you understand the additional maintenance and cost that these dear hair-not-fur souls need and are willing to commit to life for such care.
Get to Know Mr. Sparky Anderson:
Mr. Anderson is approximately 10 months old. He is just a baby and is ready for a wonderful and full life!
Sparky enjoys relaxing in comfortable dog beds throughout his foster family's home. He likes to cuddle and is most definitely a lap dog. He is fairly laidback, given his youthful age. He's learning how to walk on a leash and go outside to potty. He's catching on well to everything!
Ideal Home:
Mr. Sparky Anderson will flourish in a home where he can hang out with his people during the day and sleep near or with them at night. His foster family has young granddaughters who visit, and he’s been loving and enjoying their attention. He also has another dog and two cats in his foster home, and he does well with everyone.
Because of Sparky’s age, basic foundational skills classes with a professional positive reinforcement trainer are required for this adoption. We want to set up Sparky, and his family, for success straight away. This will ensure it. It’s an amazing way to connect with your new dog, too.
Can you see hugging and loving this dear boy for the rest of his life? Then we want to hear from you!
