ADOPT OR FOSTER ME!!
Meet Joy! The name says it all - this gal is always happy. From the second she wakes up, she alternates between nap time and playtime. On her own, she enjoys toys and keeps herself pretty entertained.
While we don’t know all the details, we can tell Joy had a tough past. She came to us with an injury to her left eye, which her vet recommended be removed. That surgery was completed on February 15th and she’s recovering smoothly! She also has some scars on her neck, likely a result of spending a lot of time chained up in a previous home. With a history like that, no one would blame her if it took some time to trust people, but instead she wags her tail and adorably jumps in excitement for every person she meets. What an incredible dog, right?!
Estimated to be around three years old, Joy is the perfect mix of energetic and calm. She’s almost 50 pounds but doesn’t realize it. Since she’s still learning to contain her bubbly excitement, Joy will not be able to go to a home with young children around. While she has done okay one-on-one with some dogs in mellow settings, Joy may do best as the only dog in the home or with an experienced adopter/foster and a calm, balanced dog in the home.
Joy is crate trained, potty trained and sleeps perfectly through the night. You will immediately fall in love with this sweetheart and she deserves a home full of love and fun.
Submit a no obligation adoption or foster application and we’d be happy to tell you more about her!
