My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Nalah! I am 1 years old collie mix! My brother and I are the only 2 left to find homes after living a bad life at the hands of our abuser in a tent! Amanda stepped in and took us several months ago! There were 17 of us and its been sad to see my family get loving homes and I'm just left behind! I am spayed and UTD on shots and such a lover! I listen and cuddle! I rarely bark and will stay medium size! I do great with kids, dogs, cats, chickens and livestock! Please consider me when looking for a new member to join your family! Please share me far and wide! Amanda would drive to the end of the earth for us to go to a great home!

More about this shelter

ICARE is a non-profit organization dedicated to compassionate animal care and alleviating animal suffering. It was established in 2002 and quickly gained momentum, holding a significant public meeting in April 2003, featuring a guest speaker from the Humane Society of Independence County. This meeting led to the election of officers and a Board of Directors.

Today, ICARE operates entirely on the strength of volunteers. These dedicated individuals in Izard County work tirelessly to support the organization’s mission, providing care and relief to animals in need.
