My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthday: 2021

They say that looks aren't everything, but they were the driving point for little Miles' rescue!  One of the fosters at LCCR happened to notice this kitty because he was incredibly striking!  As soon as she noticed him, she began to leave food out of him.  To say he was timid would be an understatement!  He would hide under bushes and wait for other kitties to finish their meal from the foster's feeding station.  It took months to earn Miles' trust, and eventually, the foster managed to achieve it!  One day she was able to pick him up and bring him into her home.

Miles wasn't up for such a drastic change initially.  He didn't know what was going on, and he would constantly stress out, fearing the worst.  In fact, he would try to escape back outside - to no avail.  The foster worked with him to show him that the indoor life isn't so bad, and it seemed to work!  Be mindful though!  Though he is less tempted to go outdoors, it's better to be safe than sorry and keep this in mind!

You might be thinking this kitty may be a handful, but that couldn't be further from the truth!  Sure, because Miles is a be introverted around humans, it takes time and patience for him to get him to trust you.  However, once he picks a human, he is never too far from that person!  He always has to make sure that they aren't getting into any trouble!  Rather than a person adopting a kitty, it's more like Miles' is adopting an adult human kitten!

Thanks to his less stressful life, he's beginning to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer!  Bird-watching from the window and naps on the couch are his ideal ways to chillax!  Though he might be a bit nervous around new people, cats are a COMPLETELY different story!  He absolutely adores other felines!  Though, sadly, his current foster siblings want nothing to do with him.  He has tried everything under the sun to befriend them, but it seems to have all been in vain.  Whenever they deny him their attention, he sadly walks away.  He certainly seemed to have charmed other kitties when he was outside!  Miles was frequently sighted with other kitties playing to their hearts content! This young, high-spirited boy really hopes to find a home where there is space for him to roam, climb, and stimulating!  He loves having friends (human or kitties) just so he can interact with them and play!  You show this boy a laser-pointer or cat wand, and he knows it's about to go down!  You can even give him a box, and it'll brighten his day! You know you have won him over when he's rubbing up against your leg or laying near you.  Though he is not fond of being picked up, he's certainly doesn't hide his affectionate side from you for long!

What about dogs and children?  Well, Miles has only interacted with his foster family's calm dog.  It was a pleasant experience, and Miles didn't seem nervous around him at all!  We think that as long as the puppy is calm, and the two are properly introduced, he might start broadening his friend circle!  Although, he thinks small children might be too much for him.  He's worried about being picked up, and he wouldn't want to hurt the little humans!

Miles' adoption donation is $140 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
