JULIP NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!
Come meet Julip and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 26th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!
Name: Julip Best Guess for Breed: Terrier and chocolate lab mix
Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of February 2024 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 52 lbs
Gets Along With: Julip does well with other dogs and cats. We haven’t seen Julip with kids but she can be tested!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Special Adoption Considerations: When Julip arrived from the shelter, she was pretty reserved in the hustle and bustle of city life. She has been making great strides in foster care! We think Julip would do best in a home that either has a resident dog or who can make sure Julip has lots of opportunities to go on walks regularly with other dogs or visit dog parks and/or doggie daycare with other dogs to build confidence.
Julip is Looking For: Looking for a sweet companion to brighten your days? Look no further than Julip, a delightful 3-year-old chocolate terrier with a heart of gold and a wagging tail ready to steal your heart! Julip is looking for a family that will shower her with affection and attention. She would like a home where she can engage in regular exercise, whether it's going for long walks, playing fetch, or romping around in the dog park she wants to see all that this new life has to offer her. A cozy bed, plenty of toys, and a warm spot to snuggle up would make her feel right at home.

What My Foster Says About Me: Julip is a joyful bundle of love whose motto is, yes, please! Cuddles? Yes, please! A walk? Yes, please! A nap? Yes, please! A ball? Yes, pleeeease! She is so is goofy and likes to walk backwards - keep your eyes open for the Michael Jackson-esque moon walk! She is a gorgeous copper color with a 'falling star' on the back of her head. She's raised her puppies and enjoys relaxing like any good mama done with her hard work. She is a medium-energy dog, who thinks she's a small dog. Julip is also a fabulous 'in the house' dog. She's picked up quickly on potty-training and sticks to chewing on her toys. She loves hanging out with her people and does a great job entertaining herself. She is wonderful on a walk as well, after she settles from excitement to be out on a walk. She greets other dogs nicely. Julip makes great eye contact and looks for approval from her people. This beautiful, well-mannered dog is just looking for a place to settle in and call home. If Julip is for you, she'll reward you with adoring eyes and wags that will melt your heart.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
