My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

About Me:
I'm Enrico, a very handsome dude. You might say that I am a basic black and white dog but look closer. I have a white stripe between my black eyes/forehead that spreads out over my nose area and culminates in my very distinguished white vest. Don't you think that sets me apart from being a basic black and white dog? And, don't those few black spots on my face add to my beauty? But, I am not just about looks. I have a tail that wags and wags and wags some more. It is kind of in perpetual motion. A nice volunteer lady said that I was a good car rider when she took me to the park. She said that I was easy to leash and take for a walk. I sat right next to her on the grass and we watched the world around us. I snuggled closer to her a few times and she liked that. So did I. Things are good here but I would like a home and person(s) who I can love and who will love me. I have a lot of energy so I will need protected outside space for playing and a neighborhood for walking would be nice. Are you looking for a not basic black and white dog who snuggles and has lots of love to give? If so, bring a leash and ask to see Enrico - the handsome dude. Primary Color: White
Secondary Color: Black
Weight: 55.7
Age: 7yrs 1mths 2wks

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
