Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET FOXY ROXY! This beautiful almost-2-year-old American Eskimo Dog needs a home! She is currently in a foster home in Carlsbad. Roxy was recently rescued from a shelter in Southern California. She is a beautiful girl - she has gotten along well with most other dogs her own size or larger, and has been good with cats, too! We recommend she does not go to a home with smaller dogs.
Roxy is highly food motivated, and she allows you to pick her up without issue. She knows the commands "sit", "shake" and "stay". She has some separation anxiety, so would do best in a home with a retired person or people, or with someone who works from home. She absolutely loves being with people and is sweet and affectionate.
She walks fine on a leash but is a work in progress, but she's very easy to handle. Roxy is also very athletic, and apparently can scale a high fence, so she should not be left in a yard unattended. She may love agility training, though! She's also a bit of a door dasher, being such a curious girl. Overall, though, she's a wonderful dog who will make a great companion for someone who loves Eskies. Roxy weighs about 24 pounds. Please email for an application.
