Meet KEELEY - Paws Behind Bars Trained
KEELEY is a 2-year-old female Goldendoodle. She is currently 65 lbs but is on an exercise plan to help her lose a few! Keeley came to us from a great home, but, as she grew older, so did her prey drive, and it got to be too much for the cats in the home. She is currently in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program where she is charming everyone with her stunning good looks!
KEELEY is an active young dog. She is playing nicely with the other large dogs in the program. (She'll be good with any dog larger than 25 lbs). True to her nature, she'd much rather have fun and play. She is a bona fide Goldendoodle, heavy on the poodle side. (see the DNA results) Although, to look at her, you'd swear she was a flat coat retriever! She is already house, leash, and crate-trained. Her sit, stay, down and come are well under way. Keeley is motivated by food and praise making her an easy dog to train.
Her perfect home will be an active one where some of the family members are home more often than not. She's very social and loves company and attention. She's also very good in the car and loves to go for rides.
We are recommending older children as she plays hard. She will not be compatible with cats or small dogs. A fenced-in yard is a must as she needs the space to free run. With the right toy, she's good at entertaining herself.
IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind Keely is 2 years old with a life expectancy of 12 + years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life.
Our adoption process begins with submission of OUR online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there, too.
Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!
