My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finn is a VERY SHY boy who was recently returned to FURR in March 2024 through no fault of his own. His first foster home - where he was for almost a year prior to adoption - could not take him back, so he is in a new foster home now.

Because he is so skittish, it took a long time to find an adopter the first time. That person was wonderful and was ready to give him all the time in the world to adjust, but their other pets kept bothering him. They tried to make it work for about 5 months. Finn preferred to stay away from the other pets, which was a shame because he had LOVED the other cats and dogs in his foster home.  Seeing that the situation was not going to improve and that Finn deserved more, for his own sake, the adopter returned him to us so that we can find a new home that is a better fit.

Finn is a cat that just loves being a cat. He loves the company of other cats and dogs. If you are looking for a companion for your cat or dog, then he is the perfect the fit! There isn't a dog or cat he doesn't love. He has become instant buds with every cat that has come and gone from his 2 foster homes. He did great with the 1st foster's dogs who were very high energy, as he could hide if he didn't want to interact.

He LOVES wet food, the way to his heart. He is still VERY skittish when approached, but his new foster mom is able to pet him when he's eating. Other times when approached, he will run or if in hiding, he'll softly hiss at her. She is experienced in fostering skittish cats, so she will spend time just being near him, talking to him, engaging him in play, and getting him to accept being petted a little bit.

Other than that, he seems happy to be in a place where the other cats like him. He quickly acclimated to the new adult cats and kittens in the foster home. If not being approached to be petted, he seems comfortable and relaxed.

He is playful and loves to play chase with the others.

Finn deserves a stable home where he can enjoy being with other pets and getting the occasional petting from his humans. He needs someone who will understand his shy, gentle nature and who won't mind that he doesn't seek affection or attention from them and just let him be who he is.
