I AM A SPECIAL NEEDS GAL!!
I have ME with stands for Megaesophagus. It's where my esophagus is bigger in places and my food sometimes doesn't go the whole way to my stomach which makes me regurgitate my food. I should eat in what they call a Bailey Chair which has me eating in an upright position so that gravity takes over. I should be in there for at least 10 minutes but 20-30 would be better. However I have been doing really well just eating standing on my hind legs with my bowl on the top level of a step stool. This DOES NOT affect my ability to act like any other pup...playing, going for walks or hikes, running around having a good ole time, you know, just in general, enjoying life...I'm able to be a happy thriving pup!
Thelma here and I'm in search of my 'Louise', my BFF. Could it possibly be YOU?!! I find myself in need of a fishing buddy, an adventure cohort, a pawtner in crime! JK, I'm not really looking to get into trouble, just some good ole fun filled times!
I am around 3 years old, a perfectly pawsome age in that I'm still active and playful but well out of the puppy destructive stage. I love playing with my toys, and am especially fond of the squeaky ones. I can even entertain myself when needed by pitching them in the air but would much rather you play along and we can get a game of tug going on.
I am crate and house trained...a great bonus for my new family! I do well with the other dogs (but if you're giving out pets, you can count on it that I'm there for mine too!) here in my foster home and I'm even good with the resident cat but I love love love my people wanting nothing more then to please them and get attention. I also do fabulously with the smaller variety, playing very nicely and being gentle and loving to them. My favorite thing is to lay my head up under your chin (aah, pure bliss). I will come sit patiently for you to give me pets but if you don't do it fast enough then I have to resort to using my paw as a hook to drag your hand over to get your attention or to tell you I didn't have enough yet!! I'm one of the most affectionate lil gals out there!!
I come in at a whole 15lbs which is also a perfect size. Big enough for going on adventures with you but not so big that I take up too much room on the couch, chair or bed. And yes, I do admit it, I love sleeping beside you in bed. I also love going for car rides and am a great backseat co-pilot!
