My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allow us to reintroduce you to Olaf aka ChoCho, Choseph Cholafski, or Chogurt. His government name is Olaf but he responds to Cho. Let us tell you a little bit about this Cho. He is a 9 year old, indoor only, silky soft, sweet guy looking for a true forever home. You can tell by his flagrant display of side eye, he is real tired of your nonsense. He has had his heart broken a few too many times and he insists that his next home be in it for the long haul (can you blame the guy?). Cho has always been himself and been up-front about what he wants, and doesn’t want.

Wants:

-peace and quiet

-unyielding eternal devotion

Does not want:

-change

-disrespect to his bubble

ChoCho has lived with other pets and begrudgingly tolerated them, but we have found he feels most validated when he has the attention of his staff all to himself and will excel as an only pet. Cho is the kind of cat who will choose one person in a pair and remain fiercely loyal to that one. He accepts attention from the other human, but does not like to dedicate too much of his energy on them. Do not mistake this for clinginess- Cho is also fiercely independent and while he does love affection, it is on his terms only. He seems to favor male humans with calm demeanors. Cho is selective about his toys, choosing to play only with his favorites but when he does, he really lets loose! ChoCho May come across as a staunch businessman, but behind his no-nonsense exterior, is a sweet boy looking for someone to finally reciprocate the devotion he gives to his chosen person. He does not like new situations and requires an experienced cat person who can be patient while he learns his new surroundings and learns to trust yet another new person.

All AHS adoptions come with a standard 10-day trial period, however in Olaf's case we are willing to extend this trial period to 15 days, or potentially longer if needed.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Senior cats have an adoption fee of $100. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
