My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma is a gentle loving and healthy 1 year old lab looking for a home with a patient owner willing to work with her and help her gain confidence and become the well rounded dog she wants to be.
Her former owner (when surrendering her to animal control) admitted he did not do anything with her. Now at 1 year old she is learning to walk on leash and overcome her fear of new places and new challenges.
Luckily she is brave and smart and she is doing better every day. Emma is best suited to a home with another dog which helps with her confidence, and potential anxiety.

All our dogs live in foster homes. Please contact the foster home email listed for any specific questions you may have.
We will need a completed adoption application before considering adoption. Please complete and submit our adoption application (linked below)

Please note, our adoptions are not done on a "first come first serve" basis. We are looking for the best possible match for our dogs and reserve the right to select or refuse an application at our discretion.

CAN is a 100% volunteer-based rescue and all our volunteers have jobs, families and dogs to take care of. Thank you for your patience and understanding if we don't get back to you immediately.

Licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture to assist with homeless and/or abused animals. Canine Adoption Network is a group of dedicated individual foster homes who work to better the lives of companion animals. Our experience as animal rescuers and pet owners has given us first hand knowledge of the desperate plight of companion animals in today's society. Our mission is to place the animals that we are able to assist in the homes best suited to them, no matter how long that may take.
