My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the most handsome gray tuxedo gentleman- Kiko! Kiko is observant and curious, and likes to learn from his favorite humans. King Kiko is confident, friendly, and easygoing. Upon meeting you, he will quickly consider you his best friend, coming right up to you to head butt your hand and soak in all of the attention. Kiko is very smart and curious. He loves to explore every corner of the house and watch everything you do. Kiko also has a big appetite and loves treats. The only thing he likes better than meal time is cuddle sessions! Kiko loves to lay right on a human's pillow so he can be extra close while they nap. He also likes to squish himself next to humans on the couch. Kiko loves watching TV, especially if there are other animals on the screen! Kiko has lived with both cats and dogs and he gets along with both well.

The ideal home for Kiko will be one where he’s truly treated like family. He wants to run to the door and greet you whenever you come home and have you pet him right away. He’ll do great in a home that’s moderately to very active, where he has cat or dog brothers/sisters and where he gets to be part of everyday life with his humans. Kiko is an indoor only cat.

Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped. Kiko tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (“FIV”) which causes a weakening of a cat’s immune system. Cats with FIV can live a healthy normal life, both in quality and longevity.

This cat is at The Dancing Cat, our adult cat adoption lounge located at 702 E. Julian St, San Jose, California, 95112. More information about this cat and all of our adoptable cats can be found at www.thedancingcat.org/cats. Our adoption application can be found at www.thedancingcat.org/adopt.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
