My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocket!

Greetings! I'm Rocket, a 16 years young, Chi mix. I am the best couch buddy. I enjoy naps, snacks and walks. I'm pretty spry for an old guy, looking at me, you'd think I was 10, lol. I am looking for a new home after a lifetime with my old family, I hope they are doing well. I'd prefer to be with you all the time but I'll settle for most of the time. I get lonely. I get along well with my foster siblings, 2 large brutes and 2 small mischievous felines. I prefer dogs my own size, I can't keep up with the big ones and felines move too quickly for me and my eyes, which are showing my age. I can't hear much if anything, but my sniffer works great. I'm a big help cleaning up the kitchen. I'm a happy guy and my face may not show it but my tail does.

I'd love to find a home with a comfy couch and loving family. I don't think I'd do well with young'ins, I think they are probably as mischievous as the felines.

If I sound like your type, call my people. Have a wonderful day!

Rocket is deaf and has bad night vision, especially at night. He has lost many teeth and is working on not marking/peeing in the house, wearing belly bands indoors to help with this. Rocket is a little reactive to being startled and doesn't like being alone or in the kennel if you are home, although he is kennel trained.
