My name is Astra and my sister and I, both landed in a shelter that is run by some very nice people. They have reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue to ask for help getting us out and in to a foster or forever home. We do not have to go together but we are both very sweet 5 month old, 19 pound Husky/Aussie mix girls who are very happy and loving. We need a nice active life with a couple, a single athletic person, or a family with children would be great too! My coat of fur is super soft like an Aussie and my pretty ears stand up like the Husky breed. I am going to be a 50-55 pound girl when I grow up and I bet I get lots of attention when you take me on walks. I am ready for a new life with a fenced yard and lots of people for me to love! Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
