Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We’d like to introduce you to our very own Lt. Dan! This stunning, tri-color, tri-pawed, boy is approx 6-7 months old. He came to MHCR as kind of a unique situation. His family reached out for help with the cost of an amputation surgery due to a bad break in his leg. In an effort to keep him in his home, we agreed. Unfortunately, they changed their minds and decided they no longer wanted him. We couldn’t leave him hanging, so pulled him from the shelter and got him his surgery then brought him to foster in Colorado. Lt. Dan is crate and house trained. He zips around faster than any dog with 4 legs that I’ve ever seen (which is impressive given he only has 3). He’s cat friendly and dog friendly! The Heeler in him calls for a home with older kiddos as he can be kinda mouthy when playing or when excited. Lt. Dan’s humans should have a fenced in yard and a passion for smart dogs. Lt. Dan loves to learn and he’s food motivated, which makes training a breeze!
Lt. Dan is in foster in Longmont, Colorado.
*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *
