My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keebler and Corn pop were part of a group of 5 stray guinea pigs found in Chicago's lakeview neighborhood. They came with a collection of medical issues between them but they have since been treated for their various ailments and are ready to find a new home! Corn Pop is very curious and talkative.https://www.lostwoodsas.com/adoption-application

We are currently open by appointment only to see all the pets, but we frequently appear at farmer's markets and other local events with adoptable animals.

More about this shelter

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
