PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING TO ADOPT INDY
Indy came to us a few weeks ago, he was a client of our friends at Serenity and does amazing with them, unfortunately without a lot of guidance and training daily Indy has quite a bit of hiccups in the home, and was sent back to his breeder then another trainer who continued to work with him!
Indy's hiccups included ...
Resource guarding toys and food at him with children and adults , He was barrier guarding in the kennel and will snarl and bark.
He is currently being fostered with Serenity Pet Spaw where he loves! For the past few weeks(and prior to with his other family) they have worked on training and making the crate a happy time and he has passed all the tests with flying colors!!! He does amazing grooming and only has some issues with nail filing but, they see no biting just a few lip lifts which is being worked on as well. Indy we would consider a special case and due to his background we would only adopt local. We would ask anyone adopting continue doggy daycare, grooming and boarding with Serenity Pet Spaw but ,we understand that may not be possible and if changing to a different facility they are happy to talk and work with whatever facility choosen as well to make sure Indy has the best transition!
We would ask any potential adopters be willing to continue to crate train(serenity will go over all the training they are doing as well!) and sign up with a trainer prior to adoption.
Indy LOVES other dogs and will get along with certain cats , so we would off a foster to adopt for him and help acclimate him to your home!
Indys perfect home would be an active very dog knowledgeable home with older children (13 up) who would be involved in the training process as well as everyone in the home.
