Hi, my name is Canelo!

I am a happy husky-terrier mix with one blue eye and one brown/hazel eye! I am sooooo cute! I am very playful and energetic! I love to run and play ball! I will even bring the ball back to you! I enjoy petting and affection! I am definitely a very happy doggo!

I am smart and learning to sit for treats. I walk good on a leash. I do get excited and jump around some, but I will learn quickly with a little training and routine exercise...I am just playful as a terrier and so very excited to be out of my kennel! Plus, I am still in my puppy years so I am just having fun! I really love being with you and having a place to run and play...that makes me totally happy! I especially love enjoying life and rolling around in the grass in the sunshine! Come see me today!

More about this shelter

Shelby Humane is an open intake facility in Shelby County Alabama. SH takes in over 5000 animals a year. We provide an adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter program, and low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics throughout the County. In 2018, we launched Shelby SafePet, which provides veterinary care and boarding to pets of domestic violence victims.
