My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Einstein - known as the greatest and most influential scientist (we mean dog) of all times! Our Einstein may not win the Nobel prize of physics any time soon, but he is sure to win the prize of your heart. He is a fluffy shepherd mix, weighing about 40 lbs full grown with an adorable tongue that sticks out as he sits patiently awaiting affection and attention. Einstein likely hasn't had the easiest of lives to date as his hair isn't quite what it will be and he looks like spoiling is in need. He doesn't mind a bit as his hair will become only more fabulous with time and his heart will remain the same...full of love to give. Einstein does well with other dogs and could join a family with them or be an only dog. He is happy with everything that comes his way and is the picture of humble and appreciative. Shepherds are known for being intelligent, loyal and steady dogs....and our Einstein fits the bill!
*Recent Weekend Host feedback: "Einstein was a perfect house guest." "Einstein is a pretty passive pup, who enjoyed being with our 7 month old puppy. " "Einstein was not phased with our two cats - I don't even think he noticed them. " "Einstein is fully potty trained and did best in his crate at night when he was close to our other dog." "He did enjoy running around the backyard with frisbees and balls. "
*More weekend host feedback includes: "Super mellow and calm". "He is food motivated which is good for training".

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
