My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous black tri colored Collie mix is a showstopper with her perky ears and adorable eyebrows. At 60 lbs, this adult is ready to hit the trails as a walking companion- or heck- a running companion- either way she's looking forward to keeping you company. Jackie also indicated she is sooo looking forward to some good snuggle time as well!!! She is a great companion for other dogs as well as pretty much anyone who wants an admirer. She has great crate manners and is just a gem waiting to be discovered!
A simple adoption request is all it takes to come and see this gorgeous, sweet girl!!
**Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: " She never pulled on the leash, but she did keep it tight".
"She kept pace when speeding up and down, and likely would be a good running companion".
"She wanted to be the pack leader through the hike, but she was still good on the leash. She would definitely find herself happy in a home with avid runners".
*Weekend Host feedback: "She was just a doll and perfect house guest! She rides fantastic in the car; just curls up and lays quietly". "We walked on a bike path and she was not bothered at all by the bikes passing her. She did great on a leash, not pulling, but keeping some tension at times". " We had no potty accidents and she easily did her business every time we went outside". " She's food motivated and quickly picked up sit, shake and worked on the down command".

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
