My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON-SITE ***
"Mama, don't let them babies grow up to be cowboys...this sweet country singer themed boy is a SNUGGLE BUG! Willie and his brother love to romp and play in the yard, but whenever they see their people they are right by your side. Willie is handsome and sweet - his favorite place to be is in your lap! Willie has been sleeping in the crate with his brother, and they do great and are quiet together. They can hold their potty needs all night (10pm - 8am). Willie has experience with other dogs, just usually barking when he meets someone new. He is friendly and loving, especially to people. Willie will make a loyal companion and will fit right into your home as a loving family pup!
Weekend Host feedback: "He loves to follow his people around and the moment you sit down he's going to cuddle up right next you". "He sleeps through the night in his crate". "He does really well in the car and on the leash". "He has good potty habits for a puppy".
**Volunteer Dog Walk feedback: "Willie was very excited. He liked to jump around and play with the other dogs. He ran to be in the front but once he got there he was constantly looking back to make sure everyone was still there. He didn't stop to sniff around much and continued straight ahead".

Recent Weekend Host commented: "While full of puppy energy, he is chill and patient whenever being handled. He exhibits this patience with all people he encounters. You can check his teeth, handle his paws, pick him up, twirl him around, and he stays relaxed throughout. " "He goes all night without an accident. " "He enjoys chew toys and will settle down to have a nice gnaw when provided with one. " "When crated, Willie quickly quiets down and will simply observe what is around him."

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
