My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tessa
Female
DOB 12/3/2018

Tessa is very friendly and loves attention from people. She is confident and curious. She comes right to you for petting and rubs up against your legs. She enjoys being picked up, held and is very relaxed. She loves to cuddle on laps and snuggle. She enjoys climbing up cat trees and looking out windows. She is laid back, relaxed and easy going. Tessa gets along great with other cats and makes new Friends quickly.
She has excellent litter box habits and enjoys wet food. Be prepared to be showered with lots of love from Tessa. She is so sweet and has amazing green eyes!

Fixed, chipped, vaccinated, negative for felv and FIV

Please fill out our online application (www.fochp.org).  Once you meet the pet and decide it is the right pet for your family there is an adoption fee.  The adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, 30-day pet health insurance which you will need to order when we provide you with the number.    Our adoption fees are non-refundable so please be sure you are ready for a commitment to the pet you are interested in. Please be sure to check your spam mail if you feel you have not heard from us.

Once we receive the application, we can put you in touch with the foster home so you can schedule a time to meet the pet.  Our adoption process is pretty quick, and a lot of volunteers are involved to ensure you get a quick response.  Please…. only fill out the application if you are ready to adopt right now and have consent from all parties involved.  Once you submit the application please verify that it is received (the screen will say your application has been received) if you do not get that message it has not been submitted. – if you do not hear from us within 1 hour, we may not have received your application.

Adoptions are based on Best fit/match and then 1st come 1st serve.  Please check your email regularly for a response from the foster and be prepared for the opportunity to meet the dog as soon as they can be adopted.

More about this rescue

Friends of Orange County's Homeless Pets (FOCHP) is a licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The mission of our organization is to make homeless and unwanted pets in Orange
County more adoptable and provide them
the opportunity to find lifelong families. This mission will be accomplished with training, grooming services, veterinary services and rescue. This program is designed to promote the adoption of shelter animals, thus reducing the number of adoptable animals that are euthanized in the Orange County shelters.
