Meet Phoenix, he is beautiful 3 year old house hippo that doesn't mind dressing up in Rubber Ducky pajamas. Phoenix recently lost his home, no fault of his own however this has left him interviewing new humans. He is house trained, crate trained, good with kids and other dogs. He will walk on a leash but is strong in the beginning pulling, but eventually settles in. He does fine being left for 8 hours while his foster mom works and keeps his crate clean. He is too interested in cats, so we are looking for a home with no cats or small animals. Because of his blocky headed breed, we will require you to own your home, no rentals as we don't want him to wind up homeless again.

If we find a good match for you, you can pay the adoption fee, sign the contract, and take the pet home!

Additional adoption info

Adopters fill out a no-obligation contract. If approved, they will fill out a contract for the animal. Adoption fees are $200 per dog ($250 for puppies 6 months and younger) and $60 for cats ($100 for kittens), which includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip registration, deworming medications, heartworm and flea preventative.

This is a small, foster based rescue run by volunteers. Please be patient as it may take a few days to approve your application.
