Hi! My name is Autumn. You see, our once small comfortable family had grown to an unmanageable size and we weren't getting the care we needed. So, it was decided that 20 of us needed to find new homes. Some of my friends went willingly. But, I was so scared I had to be tricked with yummy food to get into a crate that snapped closed behind me. What they didn't know, was that I was carrying a secret. The very next day had seven tiny puppies. Unfortunately, two of them didn't make it. But thankfully St. Francis agreed to take me and my five littles and in early November, I came here. I was a great mom and I was prepared to protect my littles with my life! It took some time for me to understand that the people here were not going to hurt my babies. Eventually we fell into a routine and my five babies grew up healthy and happy. They've all now gone to great loving homes and I'm so very happy for them. But, I keep wondering, when will it be my turn? I'd sure love a family of my own. It’s not a bad place to stay. The people here are really nice and have helped me learn that not all people are bad. But, I’m very shy when it comes first meeting new people. If you have a little bit of patience with me I know we can become BFFs! I like pets and ear scritches. I also like treats and I’m really good at catching them in mid-air! They also tell me I’m a smart girl. I really hope my forever family sees this and comes soon. Until then I’ll be hanging out here at St. Francis CARE in Murphysboro. Come get me!!!Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application
