My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet MAX! This dog has a heart of gold and wants nothing more than to be your best friend. Max is happy to hang out on the couch, go for a walk or chase after squirrels. Max would love a quiet and calm household, more than anything he just wants to be with you! Who wants to take this sweet guy home to be your best friend? He'll LOVE you forever!

Age: 9 years
Breed: Basset hound/Corgi mix
Weight: 36 lbs
Kid-friendly: Unknown as he isn't with kids
in his foster home but his foster believes he
would be ok with them. Given this,
we suggest older kids

Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs
and loves to play. We recommend another
friendly dog for him to play with.

Cats: Chases cats but doesn't hurt them.
We believe he could live with a cat but
would need some training on how to redirect.

Crate trained: Has not been kenneled at
his fosters home and he does well.

Potty trained: Yes
Health concerns: None, previously tore
his ACL but it has since healed.

Adoption fee: $375

As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)

Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.

Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
