Morton aka Mort is a handsome guy with a lot to talk about. This chatty Siamese seeks attention in people and loves to sunbathe in a warm window. Mort is calm, low energy and nearing his retirement years so he would prefer a home that offers the same low level of activity. He doesn't like too much commotion and he will retreat if his environment is too busy for his liking.
Mort loves the company of his best friend, Cookie. They compliment each other nicely, and are looking for their forever home together after roughing it outdoors for the last couple years. They have been through a lot together, but they have each other, and are very much enjoying the creature comforts of living inside again. They would fill any home lucky enough to welcome them with lots of love.

Additional adoption info

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!

Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 3341 Vincent Road.

Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions by appointment only with an approved application. Please submit an application for a cat you are interested in at www.cchumane.org/adoptable-cats.

All of our dogs, puppies and some kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.
