My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sandy Rose, a minimally shedding, delightful 6-year-old, Old English Sheepdog mix weighing in at 52 pounds. Rescued as a stray and brought to Camo, Sandy Rose's sweet disposition is beyond compare. She's a gentle soul who adores meeting new people, revels in affectionate pets, and finds solace in cuddling. Sandy Rose's zest for exploration knows no bounds, as she relishes outdoor adventures. She has mastered the art of house training and is lovely on lead. She is very smart and already knows several obedience commands. Sandy Rose is a perfect lady during baths and nail trims. She adores car rides, too! With a heart as vast as her love for others, Sandy Rose gets along famously with children, dogs of all sizes and cats. Whether it's a bustling household with kids or a serene retreat with other furry friends, Sandy Rose is adaptable and ready to thrive in any environment.

Sandy Rose is recovering from a skin condition and will have a gorgeous coat in no time.

Sandy is spayed, up to date on shots, hw negative and microchipped.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
