Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beatrice is a sweet little black American bunny! Her name is very close to the children's author Beatrix Potter who wrote The Tale of Peter Rabbit, among many other great stories with animal protagonists. We think Beatrix would surely approve of our name selection.
Beatrice has a best friend named Agnes. (Everyone needs a best friend!) And Beatrice and Agnes are a bonded pair, so they need to go home together.
Unfortunately, Beatrice and Agnes came to the shelter a little over a week ago as two of six bunnies who were located in the middle of the woods in Derry! A Good Samaritan found them and called the police who then brought them into the shelter.
Beatrice and Agnes both appear to be sweet bunnies. We don't know a ton about them, because they came in as strays, but staff has held both bunnies here in the shelter and they seem pretty tolerant of close handling (many bunnies aren't comfortable being held or picked up if they weren't used to being held in their prior home).
If you're interested in our best buds Beatrice and Agnes, give us a call at the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet them!
