MPMR requires all applicants to have their dogs current on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention unless there is verifiable medical reason why this cannot be done.
Chiquita
3.5 year old chocolate Min Pin (DOB 9/30/2020)
10 lbs.
Fully vetted
Chiquita (given name) is an incredibly sweet girl. She can be standoffish for a while, so a few meetings at her foster home are recommended. She is highly food motivated, so the way to her heart is through her stomach. At this time, an adoptive home will need to be low traffic and either need to consist of ladies only or ladies with respectful older kids. She jumpes and nips too much in play to be around toddlers. She is absolutely terrified of men due to little socialization because of when she was born, and so far, we are having little progress in getting her over this fear.
She has quite a bit of energy so would benefit from a fenced yard where she can run. Chiquita adores cuddling. She is very much a velcro dog and her person's shadow. She will follow someone around the house bouncing along behind for attention. She knows both English and Spanish commands per her former owner.
Chiquita gets along with other dogs quite well and is often cuddling with them in her foster home.
We were told Chiquita knows how to use puppy pads, but here she strictly goes outside to do her business and has done amazingly well on that front. She does hesitate when it is dark due to a minor vision issue but is easily coaxed with lights turned on so she can see better. She is also crate trained.
