My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jax, also known affectionately as Yellow Boiii, fluff butt, and Dingo boy! This adorable shepherd pup is around 1.5 years old and is on the hunt for his forever home.

Jax is a cuddly ball of joy who loves nothing more than spending his days in the yard, watching birds, and chasing squirrels. But his real passion lies in outdoor adventures like camping, hiking and splashing around in the water.

Don't let his playful antics fool you though—Jax is one smart cookie! He's a quick learner when it comes to tricks and is already crate trained and leash trained. Plus, he's a pro at being off-leash while hiking, so you can trust him to stick by your side.

With his keen senses, Jax makes an excellent security guard and loves being the protector of his pack and his house. While he gets along with submissive dogs, he'd thrive best as the only pet in a home with adults. And when it comes to kids, Jax is cool with them, but he prefers gentle play—no pulling or smooching allowed!

He's also a total goofball who will keep you entertained with his silly antics. Whether he's cuddled up beside you or ready for a new adventure, Jax is guaranteed to bring joy to your life.

So if you're searching for a loyal, loving, and slightly silly companion, look no further than Jax! Swing by and say hello to this charming pup, and get ready for a lifetime of love and laughter together!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
